Everything My Dr. said would happen, Did happen!!
So I am trying out this new blogger in my gmail! I might actually be able to do it properly! Well it has been a whirlwind of activity at my house since my last posting! My daughter Nicole is here with her 4 sweet children, and they have all been taking good care of me these last two weeks! We had a baptism, a wedding and a princess party all in one weekend! It was a lot of fun!
The first thing I want to say is how much I love my Doctors at Compass Oncology. They are an all inclusive team of Oncologists, Surgeons, Nurses, and Medical Assistants who are very helpful and very kind, they make you feel like you are their only patient!! The saddest thing is that I am not their only patient and the amount of people being treated for all kinds of cancer is overwhelming to me.
Here's a short list of all the side affects of chemotherapy: nausea, heartburn, pain in your bones, hair loss, fatigue, constipation, sore mouth, and metallic tastes in foods and water...... half of these side affects are from the anti nausea drugs and the steroids they give you. None of them are any fun and all of them I did experience!! Although after the first round I did get better at taking my anti nausea drugs, antacid drugs and the constipation drinks that helped me. But I was very grateful for all the nurses who helped me learn to manage all these little inconveniences. At least they told me what to expect.
I was also very astonished when I made it through Caity and David's wedding with my own hair! I know it was Divine intervention when my hair started falling out Sunday morning after the wedding! After Monday morning when my bathroom was covered in piles of hair I decided to have Cliff shave it all off and be done with the mess. I wasn't as shocked at my bald head as I thought I would be though! So that was good!
I just want to say I am grateful for my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ! I know they are watching over me, I am grateful for my Doctors and I am grateful for all of you and your generous thoughts and prayers you have all sent my way! Thank you!
